Wendy S. Cunningham

Wendy S. Cunningham, 71, of Burnham, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at her home.

Born August 6, 1954, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Dona (Bloom) Wise.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Bandy; second husband, Robert Cnningham Sr.; and a brother, Kevin Wise.

She is survived by her children, Brittania Gardner and husband, Christopher, of Bloomsburg, Robert W. Cunningham Jr., of Burnham, Craig Bandy and wife, Erin, of York; grandchildren, Logan Wise and wife, Mazy, Levi Wise and wife, Alyssa, Lilliyan Wise, Lyam Wise, Luke Wise, Lathon Gardner, McKinely Bandy; one great-grandson, Beckham Wise; siblings, Bernard Wise Jr. and wife, Anita Jo, of Lewistown, Stephanie McMullen and husband, David, of Huntingdon; many loving nieces and nephews.

Wendy was a 1973 graduate of Lewistown Penn Highlands High School and a devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She worked for many years in the Mifflin County School District cafeteria, where she was known for her kindness and warm smile

Family was the center of Wendy’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She was an animal lover—especially fond of her cats—and she enjoyed traveling and exploring new places.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
